holy moly, i havent had a computer for 2 months because of a fried hard drive.
so after months of no internet, and having jump on friends computers
for a few minutes at a time to check emails and such, i am finally once
again connected. ahhhh! i have pages and pages of of lj to catch up
on, but in the meantime i hope all is great with everyone!

my new wheel arrived this morning, finally, from canada.
in my mad rush to cut the tape off and tear into this thing,
i stabbed myself in the foot with the scissors.

so 3 hours in the doctors office and a tetanus shot later,
im going to start spinning.

so, my friend dave and i tried our hand at vegan cupcakes on saturday. they look very pretty, but the taste is another story. first of all, they are very dense. like cinderblock dense. they tasted kinda like a pancake with a very weird aftertaste. steve porter said they tasted like fish. i took a photo before the leftovers went in the trash can. does anyone
have a good recipe for vegan cupcakes that they can share with me?

yesterday i woke up at the crack of dawn and wend grocery shopping to beat the rush. i got my usual protein
berry smoothie from jamba juice, and got soooo very sick. bad soymilk or something. this seriously sucks since
it is my favorite smoothie, and i can NEVER have one ever again.

on a lighter note, i think i seriously may be in love with keith from FRED FLARE...is that weird? if you havent seen their podcast yet, i think you best go
download it now. and you gotta love the theme song. anyone that can rhyme "sparkle pop" with "fraggle rock"
is a-ok in my book.

AND! my tax return came last week, so insted of using it for something that i really need, i bought THIS!!. im thinking of it as a business purchase, since mine is about to fall apart.

things went really well! we raised close to $300 for the working fund, we all got to network and meet new friends,
and we all had a ton of fun!! they even asked us back to have another craft fair in the fall!! neat-o!!

in other news, i came home to a wonderful package from craftyscientist!! first off, let me just
say that everyone needs one of her candles! they smell WONDERFUL and the scent carries through the whole house!!
ok. that said, every cat needs one of her cat mats! i have NEVER seen my cat go as crazy as he did for this mat!!
as soon as i opened the bag, he freaked. he rolled around on it for a good 20 minutes and made the funniest purring
sounds ive ever heard. he finally calmed down enough for me to get a decent picture of him.
so here is rutabaga on his crafty scientist cat mat!!

and now i must kick back and relax for a while. have to be up and ready to go for the next craft fair tomorrow
at 8:30 am. thank goodness im not the organizer of this one. i can just kick back and relax while sitting behind the table.

i made lentil soup from scratch yesterday. i have never made soup before,
but after yesterdays success i have a feeling that i will be seeing a whole
lot more of my stock pot.

and dear dear ian (cloud8 after an early morning trip for cheesesteaks.

ive learned to embrace the fact that i get bouts of insomnia around this time of year.
lots of work seems to happen when im in this haze, which is great, except when i have
a freelance client coming over at 8:30 to look at some work. why carson daly is on my television
(or still on the air, for that matter) is way beyond me.

craft fair maddness has kicked into high gear. ive been so busy trying to organize crafters
and donations that i havent had time to craft at all for myself. by the way, i have 1 TABLE LEFT!!
do any of my crafty friends want to get in on the craftin action and reserve my last table?!?

on a sad note, vinnie the one eyed fish has gone to fishie heaven. no more fishies for me.
i dont think ive ever had a goldfish in my life that has lasted for over 2 weeks. im just not
meant to take care of goldfish. deal.

on a happy note, i got to speak with MR. D live from japan yesterday using the amazing
audiochat feature on ichat. its maddness i tell you.
....you need to be back on the continent. i cant stress
this enough. i miss you to pieces. MR. C, YOUR NEXT!! as mentioned yesterday by scott,
we will somehow find audioconference feature and have a mac powered joining of nations.

and on a side note MR. C and MR. D, you will appreciate this. i had the honor of being photographed

i wish my lips could be that red all the time....but my good gracious!! look at those split ends!!!

and do i have a secret admirer? when i left my apartment this morning, there was a chrysanthemum
in my mailbox. i though it was left by the dude onthe thrid floor, but a quick text message ruled that
out (he insists that it was left by the lovely lass on the 2nd floor...because she wants to get in his pants).
hmmmm.....

this weekend i aided steve porter in his quest for the perfect pineapple
in the market. we were rewarded with success....and downpours.

theres a new pet in the house. he is a goldfish.
his name is vinny. he has one eye.
